Test your Mixology skills by entering our 2007 MIXIE Awards Hotel Cocktail Competition, the national cocktail competition exclusively for hotels, resorts and casinos.
23 top North American hotel companies and casino hotels entered 126 cocktail recipes in the 2006 MIXIE Awards Hotel Cocktail Competition, including the Aladdin Las Vegas, Marriott, the Bellagio, Best Western, Caesar's Palace, Clarion, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Four Seasons, Hilton, Hyatt Regency, InterContinental, Mandarin Oriental, Omni, the Peabody Orlando, Radisson, Ritz-Carlton, Sheraton, the Boardwalk at Walt Disney World, Westin and the Wynn Las Vegas.
Types of Cocktails
We seek all varieties of cocktails and as many recipes as you wish to enter. The contest is open to all corporate and hotel employees employed in food and beverage or general/operations management.
Entries
Your entry can be a remake of your signature hotel drink or a completely new concoction. In addition to great prizes, all entrants qualifying for semi-final judging will have their cocktails featured in Hotel F&B’s MIXIE Awards Winners Issue in January 2008.
Drink Requirements
All cocktails must use TABASCO® sauces as an ingredient.
Judging
Judging is strictly by taste.
Simplicity of preparation is important.
The idea is to create fun drinks that any bartender could prepare.
Hotel F&B Magazine Coverage
All hotels and their entrants will be featured in Hotel F&B’s 2008 MIXIE Awards Winners issue.
